This year will mark the 10th edition of ODYSSEA Cannes.
2,000 participants are expected with a common goal: to support breast cancer research as well as programs to assist sick women and their families.
This Sunday, September 20, a pink wave will sweep across the cities of Cannes and Le Cannet, in a festive and warm atmosphere! Men, women, and children, all will be wearing the pink Odyssea t-shirt, sporting sneakers.
Since its first edition 9 years ago, Odyssรฉa Cannes has raised 61,700 euros. It is thanks to this amazing surge of generosity that these donations have been redistributed to the supported local associations fighting the disease: Dรฉfi de Femme, Toujours Femme Pays de Grasse, SOS Cancer du Sein PACA.
Paul Longoni, the organizer of ODYSSEA Cannes, perfectly sums up the spirit of this great day of solidarity and the atmosphere it exudes: โAs every year, and now for 9 years, we hope that the residents of Le Cannet and Cannes will mobilize and come to walk the streets of Cannes and Le Cannet to support the research. The goal is to ‘paint’ the streets in pink, raise funds, but also to spend a pleasant time among friends and family.โ
As with every edition, three distances will be offered, to make this festive day accessible to everyone:
1 KILOMETER free pace (from 3 years old) with mandatory parental permission.
5 KILOMETERS RUN/WALK free pace (from 12 years old), parental permission for minors; medical certificate not required.
10 KILOMETERS TIMED RUN (from 16 years old) with parental permission for minors and with chips and a medical certificate stating no contraindication to competitive running (or copy of FFA, FFTRI, UFOLEP Athlรฉ license) dated less than one year for everyone. Time limit of 1h30.
