septoff.jpg From September 26 to October 18, exhibitions, projections, workshops, and conferences will be offered. The inauguration of the Festival of Mediterranean Photography will take place on Friday, September 26 at 7 PM, at Lโ€™avant-Scรจne (Universitรฉ St Jean dโ€™Angely).

In 2014, Sept Off takes stock of 15 years of photography. Seeing and making images seen have been the driving force behind this commitment, without prejudice towards genres and always questioning the perspective on photography.

The review of these fifteen years of the festival is also a moment of renewal for Sept Off: not imposing any theme on the creators, nor setting barriers between photographic genres to give free rein to the image and creation.

On this occasion, exhibitions by Julien CAMY and Benjamin MEYER, Cรฉdric FRIGERRI, Sylvain HERAUD, Christophe NIEL, Frรฉdรฉric PASQUINI, Eleonora STRANO, and Jacques SAQUET will be unveiled.

Continuing in its mission to democratize the art of photography, Sept Off organizes three workshops led by internationally renowned photographers:
Eric BOUVET, photojournalist, will offer his advice on September 26 and 27 in Nice during a workshop titled “Street Photography, back to basics.”

On September 28, he will introduce image enthusiasts to the view camera in a workshop titled “View Camera Photography”
Laurent LAFOLIE, professional photographer, will share his technical and experimental knowledge on September 27 through a workshop titled “Introduction to Argyrotype,” a manually sensitized photographic process discovered at the end of the 20th century.
