Last shows of “C’est pas classique” 2016

Latest News

Final day of the 2016 edition of “C’est pas classique,” which once again met with great success.

The program alternates between entertainment and good music: a meeting place for lovers of this genre at the Athéna hall where three performances will take place in succession (at 2:30 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7:15 p.m.).

Cie Swing’Hommes, “Beethoven ce manouche”

Last year, they charmed us with “Satané Mozart.” This year, the musicians of Swing’Hommes lead us to paradise. They invite us to a meeting between a vain and virtuoso Ludwig Van Beethoven and a proud and teasing Django Reinhardt, forced to play together under the direction of an angel. This unexpected duo, acclaimed by the Avignon Festival audience, will enchant you.

“Jean-François ZYGEL improvises on Bach”

Composer and improvisational pianist, winner of the 2006 Victoire de la Musique, Jean-François Zygel renews the classical concert by opening it to improvisation, world music, and song. As the patron of C’est pas classique 2014, he returns for our greatest pleasure and confides to us: “Tonight, once again, I tell myself that BACH is one of my oldest friends. Loyal. Present. Always there when I need him, when things aren’t going well. Even when things are going well, for that matter. I hope he forgives me for borrowing a rhythm, a melody, a few chords. It’s best that he doesn’t know. Can it stay between us?”

Duel Opus, “Duel Opus 2”

Made famous worldwide by Duel, the first musical tragedy ever created, Paul Staïcu and Laurent Cirade present their new show Opus 2. They take the spectators on an extraordinary and wordless theatrical frenzy where, at a frenetic pace, offbeat, surprising, and funny situations unfold.
