Poitiers continues its forward march with a fifth consecutive victory. Stade Poitevin dominated Nice at the Gianmarchi-Palmeira hall and ended a three-win streak for Malden Kasic’s men, who now find themselves in 8th place in the standings.
The absence of their top scorer was significantly detrimental to the team from Nice, despite an impressive performance by young prospect Soane Falafala (11 points).
However, Poitiers managed their game well, and after losing the first set, the visitors won the second with more difficulty, and finally, the third with a tough fight to conclude the match after a perfectly controlled fourth and final set.
Aleksander Mitrovic (19 points) and Menchev (14) completed the game for Mladen Kasic’s team.
On the visitors’ side, it was Demirovic and Krolis who provided the decisive momentum to return to Poitiers with the three points from the victory.
