New record at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport: 13.85 million passengers in 2018. An increase of 4.1%, or 560,000 more passengers.
This increase is explained by better aircraft load factors, up to 99% in the summer, and the use of larger capacity aircraft.
Nice Côte d’Azur Airport thus strengthens its position as the second airport platform after Paris and ahead of Lyon, with 11 million passengers in 2018. Last summer, 117 direct destinations were offered from the Côte d’Azur.
To cope with the growth in passenger traffic, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport has planned an extension of its terminal 2, which will increase the platform’s capacity to 18 million passengers by 2021.
