The Director-General of Health, Jรฉrรดme Salomon, delivered the daily update on the Covid-19 epidemic in France.
Here are the key figures to remember:
โ 108,847 confirmed cases have been recorded in France since March 1st, which is 2,641 more than yesterday.
โ Currently, 31,305 people are hospitalized for a Covid-19 infection, which is 1,823 more in 24 hours. However, for the second consecutive day, the balance is negative: 474 fewer hospitalized individuals since yesterday.
โ 6,248 patients are currently in intensive care, with 270 admissions compared to yesterday. However, the balance remains negative here as well, for a week now, with 209 fewer patients compared to admissions.
โ Regarding mortality, there are 11,060 deaths in hospitals and 6,860 in nursing homes. In total, 17,920 deaths have been recorded since the beginning of the epidemic, which is 753 more in 24 hours.
โ Finally, more than 32,000 people have been discharged from the hospital recovered.
This Thursday, as was the case yesterday, 278 Covid-19 carriers are hospitalized in the Alpes-Maritimes. Sixty-four other patients are in intensive care, five fewer than yesterday.
Since the start of the epidemic, 141 people have succumbed to the virus either in hospitals or nursing homes in this department, two more than yesterday.
