Christian Estrosiโs latest idea: extend the area of private beaches (of which there are 15 in Nice) so they can do their business. And what about the other people, tourists or locals, who want to swim??? Between the distancing measures to be respected and the already reduced area of public beaches, Christian Estrosi proposes nothing less than those who can’t afford to pay 20/25 euros for a sunbed for the day, 6 euros for a parasol, not to mention 6 euros for a bottle of water, to go elsewhere!
An announcement that speaks volumes once again about the mayor of Nice who, after imposing a curfew in the most popular neighborhoods of Nice where poor housing is the norm, is now effectively proposing to reduce their access to the beach after the lockdown.
It is yet another form of discrimination that reflects the unbearable urban segregation favored by Christian Estrosi in the city of Nice.
