The Directorate General of Health has issued its daily bulletin, containing the most important figures as follows:
18,468 people are hospitalized due to a COVID-19 infection (compared to 21,595 a week ago), and 506 new admissions have been recorded in the past 24 hours (compared to 670 a week ago).
1,894 patients with a severe form of COVID-19 are hospitalized in intensive care (compared to 2,542 a week ago). 69 new severe cases have been admitted to intensive care (compared to 92 a week ago). The net balance remains negative in intensive care, with 104 fewer COVID-19 patients compared to yesterday.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 99,258 people have been hospitalized, including 17,564 in intensive care. 62,563 people have returned home.
Since March 1st, we have mourned 28,022 deaths related to COVID-19: 17,714 deaths in hospitals and 10,308 deaths in social and medical-social establishments. The decrease compared to yesterday is due to a counting error (an anomaly of 342) in the death toll of medical-social establishments.
