Théo Pourchaire put on a show!

Latest News

After a difficult weekend last week on this same Silverstone track, Théo Pourchaire took his revenge by claiming a podium in race 2.

Théo Pourchaire approached this 5th competition weekend in F3 with a spirit of revenge. Between games of pétanque with his ART team to relieve the frustration of the previous week, the French driver worked tirelessly to try to understand what had gone wrong just a few days earlier. And it seems it worked quite well!
After a successful qualification (6th place at 0.6), the driver from Grasse attracted attention at the beginning of race 1. After a nice maneuver on Viscaal, the French driver knew how to be aggressive in the early laps of the race. Battling with Vestri, one of his main rivals, the driver of car no. 7 was surprised by Beckmann and slipped to 7th place. Despite a slightly more complicated end of the race due to tires that were probably a bit too worn, the 16-year-old rookie scored points by finishing in 6th position.
The next day, it was an equally motivated Pourchaire who took off in race 2 from 5th position thanks to the reverse grid system. Delivering a great start (gaining two places in the first corners), Théo was taken by surprise and eventually held his starting position. After the long intervention of the Safety Car, he restarted by overtaking the German Beckmann on track, against whom he had lost the day before. Then taking advantage of Barnicoat’s retirement due to mechanical issues, Pourchaire claimed 3rd place and held onto it until the finish, despite a daring overtaking attempt by Lawson in the final corners.
In the standings, with the good points scored this weekend, the French driver is now 37 points behind the new championship leader, American Logan Sargeant, who won race 1.
Next F3 event will be in Barcelona next week!
