Since April 1st, the shift to two weekly collections of packaging within the City of Nice has led to a 35% average increase in the amount of waste collected in yellow bins compared to the same period in 2018.
This is an encouraging figure that confirms that the residents of Nice, as well as the broader Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis, are keen on strengthening their environmental initiatives, as the rate of waste collected in yellow bins has also increased by 22% across the metropolitan area.
This positive result is also attributed to the possibility for residents of the Nice Metropolis, since June 1st, 2019, to sort 100% of household packaging.
