As part of the 17th day of Ligue 1 Conforama, OGC Nice will host FC Metz at the Allianz Riviera this Saturday, December 7th at 8:00 PM.
Despite gaining momentum last weekend against Angers (3-1 victory), the Gym was heavily defeated this Wednesday against Saint-Etienne (4-1) and the players struggled collectively. Fatigue was noticeable in some of them, and the defense found itself in significant danger throughout the match.
The reception of FC Metz, who are in the playoff position before this match, is a perfect opportunity to reassure, at least somewhat, their supporters and management. The Gym can rely on Kasper Dolberg who, despite his team’s rough patch, has shown encouraging signs. He is often at the origin or conclusion of Nice’s goals since his arrival.
However, the defensive shortcomings observed against Saint-Etienne will need to be quickly addressed because this weekend, the Nice defenders will have to contain the Metz attackers, especially Habib Diallo, who has been formidable since the beginning of the season and has already scored 9 goals in Ligue 1 (currently the third top scorer of the championship).
For this match, OGC Nice welcomes the return from suspension of Comman’Dante and the return from injury of Adam Ounas. For the rest, the list of injured players remains unchanged (Christophe Hérelle and Andy Pelmard).
