Arrivals, departures… There is movement at OGC Nice Handball!

Latest News

After the official announcement of Barbara Moretto’s departure to Nantes, Kimberley Bouchard has officially signed with Chambray. Conversely, Aimรฉe Von Pereira is joining the Cรดte d’Azur!

The transfer window is underway at OGC Nice Cรดte d’Azur Handball! Kimberley Bouchard has signed with Chambray, currently 7th in the first division. The 24-year-old right-winger arrived last season from Dijon. This year, she plays more as a substitute, just behind the top scorer for the Aiglons, Marie Prouvensier.

A French international at the junior level, Kimberley Bouchard is averaging 1.2 goals per game this season, with a shooting success rate of 81.3%. A fast and very precise attacking player, she has just signed a two-season contract with Chambray, where the efficiency of her left wrist could cause a stir.

The Nice player explained the reasons for her departure in an interview with La Nouvelle Rรฉpublique: โ€œI do lack playing time, as there’s a very high-performing winger this season. At Chambray, I am joining an ambitious club, aiming for Europe. I briefly experienced a European competition with Dijon, but we were eliminated quickly. Itโ€™s something missing from my career. The clubโ€™s mindset also appealed to me and, since I’m from the Paris region, coming here will allow me to be closer to my family.โ€

Aimรฉe Von Pereira, young recruit

This is the second departure announcement in less than a week for OGCN, following the official announcement of French international Barbara Moretto to Nantes. Both players will be leaving the Cรดte d’Azur at the end of the season, after only a year with the Nice team.

But OGC Nice Cรดte d’Azur is also taking action to strengthen its squad. The club has just secured the addition of Aimรฉe Von Pereira for the next season. This young 20-year-old German plays the right-back position. Since 2019, she has been with Copenhagen in Denmark, where she has participated in European competitions such as the EHF Cup.

In a short video posted on the clubโ€™s website, Aimรฉe Von Pereira expressed herself in French about her arrival in Nice: โ€œI am happy and really looking forward to meeting all of you.โ€ The German’s power (1.83m, 64kg) could become an asset for the Aiglons’ attack. She also has the distinction of having been voted MVP of the EHF EURO Women’s U17 in 2017, a tournament where she greatly contributed to Germany’s success. Aimรฉe Von Pereira has signed for two seasons with OGC Nice. She is the first recruit announced by the Nice club.
