One of the daughters of Christian Estrosi, who resides in Nice, was the victim of a burglary at her home.
The day after the incident, two suspects were apprehended and then detained.
Indeed, burglars broke into the home of the mayor’s daughter and allegedly stole more than €100,000 in jewelry and leather goods.
Investigators then analyzed surveillance camera footage from the city of Nice to identify those responsible. Two adult women were quickly identified. They reportedly arrived by train to Nice that same morning and then took a taxi back to the train station in Juan-les-Pins, where they were located in a hotel.
The room they occupied was searched, and law enforcement found stolen items from the previous day’s burglary, as well as from another theft.
One of them had a clean criminal record, while the other was already known to the police.
The two suspects in this theft have been placed in provisional detention awaiting their trial, which will take place on February 21, 2022.
