For this, his idea box is constantly active, and proposals are coming one after another.
The LR president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, Renaud Muselier, proposes to make the gyms of all public high schools in his six departments available to vaccinate the population against Covid-19 during the spring holidays.
This initiative is part of the national strategy to further accelerate vaccination to combat the Covid-19 pandemic and follows President Emmanuel’s call to accelerate vaccination in France. The region’s project has been submitted to Health Minister Olivier Véran for authorization.
Around 150 multipurpose rooms and gyms in high schools from Nice to Marseille, including Digne-les-Bains, have been identified by the region, which proposes to open them during the two-week Spring holidays in zone B, from April 26 to May 9, to further accelerate the fight against the epidemic.
A detailed plan is in place to execute this large-scale project.
Furthermore, the region plans to select “six vaccination centers” to enable “intensive vaccination” over two weeks.
To keep up the pace, the community plans to set up a “special reserve” during this period of around 5,000 people, consisting of retired healthcare professionals and 10,000 nursing students.
Finally, six “vaccination buses” will gradually, in the coming days, visit the most remote villages “in exceptional cases.”
Additionally, “special stops” will be established for regional buses “that already pass through nearby” the vaccination centers on “each of their regular routes” to facilitate access for all residents.
