Age or health condition criteria for vaccination are over. Starting this Monday, May 31 (instead of June 15 as initially planned), the entire adult population will be eligible for vaccination against Covid-19. This is a crucial step to prevent a resurgence of the epidemic as restrictions gradually ease.
Those aged 18-49 were officially the last category to unconditionally join the vaccination campaign, which has expanded in stages since its launch at the end of December.
To date, over 25 million French people have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and 11.6 million have received all the necessary doses for complete vaccination coverage.
This complete opening of vaccination for adults should increase the chances of reaching the governmentโs target of having 30 million people receive at least one dose of the vaccine by June 15.
