The number of hospital patients continues to decrease slowly, notably in intensive care units, according to data published Saturday by Public Health France.
A total of 14,532 Covid-19 patients are currently hospitalized, compared to 16,847 a week earlier, the health agency specifies.
In 24 hours, 267 new patients were admitted to hospitals across France. Intensive care units, which treat the most severe cases, have admitted 62 new patients in 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid patients in intensive care to 2,525. There were 3,028 a week ago.
In the past 24 hours, 58 patients have died in hospitals, bringing the total death toll to nearly 110,000 since the beginning of the epidemic.
