This Thursday at the Departmental Hotel, in the presence of elected officials Renaud Muselier, Charles Ange Ginรฉsy, Christian Estrosi, Jean Leonetti, Jean-Claude Guibal, Jรฉrรดme Viaud, and Gaรซlle Rebec, the Regional Director of the Environment and Energy Management Agency, the awards will be presented to the winners of the “Dynamic Carpooling Solution in the Alpes-Maritimes” project call.
For several years now, carpooling has been continuously developing. Initially with medium and long-distance carpooling, which has become widespread, short-distance or local carpooling is more modest. In France, home-to-work carpooling accounts for only about 3% of home-to-work trips.
This initiative illustrates the possibility of promoting environmentally friendly behaviors through digital means. In this respect, it fully aligns with the two ambitions of the Department: the SMART Deal and the GREEN Deal.
