While uncertainties still loom over the reopening of the Nice-Cuneo-Vintimille railway line – scheduled, in principle, for July 13, following safety work on the Breil-Tende section – the French-Italian committee for the defense of the line and the Friends of the Rail association organized a two-part demonstration this Sunday, June 10.
In the morning, a gathering took place in Breil-sur-Roya, after which the demonstrators would take the 1:07 PM train towards Nice where a new gathering was planned on the station forecourt.
In addition to reopening the line as soon as possible, the defenders are calling for an urgent revision of the 1970 convention, necessary for its sustainability.
