The music plays a very important role in the quality of life for the elderly at the Rehabilitation-Autonomy-Aging center of the University Hospital of Nice. It creates connections and allows for moments of exchange, pleasure, and escape.
Musical life takes various forms at the Cimiez hospital, (concerts by the LAFARESIDO association, shows, seasonal celebrations, rhythm workshops, birthdays…)
In this spirit of entertainment and to ensure that music and singing accompany the daily life of patients in the Long-Stay services and residents of the EPHAD at the Cimiez hospital, Crédit Mutuel of Nice – Alpes Maritimes will provide them with a Mélo musical kiosk worth €5,800.
This mobile musical kiosk from the company Onze Plus Musique (www.bornemelo.fr) will notably facilitate residents’ access to the music they love (2,000 tracks), offer stimulating and entertaining musical activities (memory games, singing games, choirs…) and promote their autonomy. This kiosk, which has won 4 innovation trophies, can be used by all the actors of the establishment (residents, families, healthcare staff, animators…).
After the inauguration, artists Ako Ito, Henry Dorigny, Gérard Fey, Kyomi Rosso, and Christophe were invited by the Lafaresido association and will make our residents dance.
This emotionally rich show will be presented to patients and residents, accompanied on this occasion by many volunteers: pArtAges association, Lafarésido, VMEH, and the students from the Nursing Training Institute of the University Hospital of Nice, who are also participating in organizing this event.
This sector offers a living space for elderly individuals who have lost physical and/or mental autonomy and supports them through a personalized care and life project.
