The Alpes-Maritimes are preparing for a rainy episode forecast for Sunday, November 16. Météo-France has placed the department on orange alert for “rain-flooding”. Even a 4×4 vehicle can be swept away in 30 centimeters of water.” This type of situation causes serious accidents every year. Rescue services emphasize that the risk is often underestimated. A shallow depth of water is sufficient to destabilize a vehicle or pedestrian.
Residents are encouraged to protect their belongings. The last piece of advice given reminds them: “preventively put your belongings out of reach of water.” This measure applies particularly to objects stored on the ground floor or outdoors.
