Sacha Alessandrini finished just off the podium in the final of the 100m hurdles at the World Junior Athletics Championships.

Facing the best under-20 specialists in the world, the athlete from Nice performed at her best, achieving a personal record of 13.34 seconds despite a slightly unfavorable wind (-1.0 m/s).

She finished in fourth place in a race won by American Tia Jones (13.01), timed identically to Jamaican Britany Anderson. Another American, Cortney Jones, completed the podium (13.19). The second French athlete qualified for the final finished in eighth place (14.16).

On Saturday, the Nice Côte d’Azur Athlétisme athlete had finished fourth in the final of the 4x100m relay with the French team (44.20), just behind Great Britain (44.05), Ireland (43.90), and Germany (43.82).
