Charlotte Bonnet took third place in the 100m final at the European Championships with a time of 53.35 seconds. She was beaten by the Swedish Sarah Sjรถstrรถm (52.93) and the Dutch Femke Heemskerk (53.23), who overtook her at the end.
As the big favorite, Sjรถstrรถm claimed her third gold medal of the week after the 50m and 100m butterfly. The second French woman in this final, Marie Wattel, took seventh place with a time of 54.52 seconds.
