This evening at 7:45 PM in the Apollon Hall of the Palais Acropolis, the 2018 edition will close with an explosive show featuring the Swiss vocalist Andreas Schaerer and the Cannes Provence-Alpes-Cรดte dโAzur Orchestra, conducted by Benjamin Levy.
Building bridges between styles is the desire at the origin of this symphonic project, first initiated in 2015 by Swiss vocalist Andreas Schaerer, his sextet Hildegard Lernt Fliegen, and the Lucerne Festival Alumni Orchestra.
Since then, many renowned orchestras across Europe have joined in. Faced with the infinite materials and possibilities offered by this orchestra-cabaret, the effervescent chemistry works perfectly.
Led by an over-energized singer, an incredible mix between James Brown and Bobby McFerrin, this joyful group of Swiss performers transports a delirious and audacious brassy cabaret. From beatboxing to scat, through lyrical singing or imitating a muted trumpet, Andreas Schaerer leads his band as a virtuoso conductor.
