Jacques Médecin regains his aura in his city: the former rue de l’Opéra will be named after him.

Nice will once again honor Jacques Médecin, the emblematic mayor of the city, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his death.

The former Rue de l’Opéra, which runs from Place Masséna to Quai des États-Unis, will be renamed after him.

It was decided by the Municipal Council at its meeting today. The same resolution mentions the inclusion of the names of Roger Loeuillet, Ophélie Longuet, Francis Lai, Max Cavaglione, and Pierre Joselet at various sites in the commune.
