The political and festive event of this weekend is in Nice, on the Castle Hill. 76 years after its first edition, the festival organized by the communists of the Alpes Maritimes finds its magnificent setting once again.
This is a major popular event in our department, and this 2022 edition will be the 73rd edition of the Festival, after two years of cancellations in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, adding to the one in 2017, which was due to budget reasons.
The 2022 edition is special, due to a particularly unprecedented political and social situation. The emergence of the NUPES has just deprived Emmanuel Macron of an absolute majority in the National Assembly, in a context also marked by a record presence of the far-right on the seats of the Assembly.
Meet on the hill… to debate and listen to the concerts.
