The show “Women, the Time of a Song” at the Nocturnes of the Château

Latest News

This Thursday at 8:00 PM will mark the stage return of the Nice show “Femmes, le temps d’un chant” as part of the “Nocturnes du Château.” A new staging, surprise guests, and an audience that will participate in the celebration by singing mythical tunes like “L’hymne à l’amour” and “La javanaise.”

After a first performance last year on March 8 at the Théâtre National de Nice for International Women’s Rights Day and a year heavily disrupted by the health crisis, the troupe of “Femmes, le temps d’un chant” returns to the stage with a new production of their show, enhanced with some lovely surprises such as special guests like choreographer Laurie Detienne (Cie Corps & Graphik) and Loric Etcheverry, well-known in Nice for his show “Il était une fois Cloclo” and his “Alessandria, Alessandra” in the Niçoise language. They will bring their personal touch to the show with their choreography and an astonishing vocal duet with the main performer, soprano Diane Frémaux.

The public will not be left out and will be an integral part of the evening with numerous famous pieces that the crowd can sing along with, accompanied by the troupe’s musicians (Stéphane Eliot on the electone, Serge Gallice on the electric guitar, and Cédric Mercury on the drums) during interludes allowing for costume changes. Thus, “La javanaise,” “L’hymne à l’amour,” and “le Chabadabada” will enchant (and sing) the most beautiful of the Nice hills.
