Valberg, an Ideal Land for Stargazing
Next weekend (from Friday, July 29 to Sunday, July 31), sky enthusiasts, both amateurs and experts, can (re)discover the richness of the azure sky through a diverse and extensive program.
Since 2019, the Alpes Azur Mercantour region has been designated as an International Dark Sky Reserve (IDSR), becoming the 14th IDSR in the world and the 3rd in France. The creation of the “AstroValberg” festival continues this commitment to preserve our ecosystem and fight against light pollution.
This festival is open to everyone and offers numerous activities for both young and adult audiences. A village of stands will also be set up at the Parc des Oursons throughout the festival.
Highlights of the AstroValberg:

โ Planetarium sessions with a 360ยฐ immersive show
โ Photography exhibitions
โ Conferences on the Sun, space, light pollution, and the starry sky;
โ Creative workshops (creating sundials, night-themed lanterns, or light mobiles)
โ Relaxation activities in the open air, with yoga, reflexology, etc.
โ Cinema sessions
