In the context of the health and economic crisis, the solidarity fund has provided nearly 55,000 businesses in the Alpes-Maritimes with a total amount of 1.1 billion euros. The solidarity fund will continue to be disbursed until September 30, for losses of activity (compensation up to 20% of turnover). The solidarity fund will be replaced starting October 1 with a “fixed costs” coverage scheme targeted at sectors whose activities are still hindered by health restrictions.

With the Covid-19 crisis, more than 14,000 businesses in the Alpes-Maritimes are requesting tax relief measures (payment deadlines, deferred due dates, accelerated tax credit refunds, etc.) totaling 165 million euros.

Since the beginning of the crisis, 20,347 businesses in the Alpes-Maritimes have taken out State-guaranteed loans (PGE) amounting to 2,744.42 billion euros. These are mainly businesses in the trade sector (730 million euros) and the hotel and restaurant sector (438 million euros). The PGEs are extended until December 31.

Some 700 million euros have been granted to businesses in the Alpes-Maritimes under the partial activity scheme (partial unemployment benefits) since the start of the health crisis.

The Prefect will chair a departmental crisis exit committee on Wednesday, September 8.
