We had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Wassia Alade, the leader of Sovimo Immobilier, to explore her entrepreneurial journey, her values, and her vision of entrepreneurship.

Six years ago, she took over the management of this real estate agency located on the seafront of Mandelieu-la-Napoule. Since then, she has shown unwavering ambition and a passion for entrepreneurship.

When you started your professional life, did you aspire to become an entrepreneur?

“I have always aspired to have my own business. I grew up in entrepreneurship alongside my mom. When I was 7 years old, my mother took me to work on Saturday mornings, and I thought, ‘One day, when I grow up, I will become like her.’ Yes, I have had a taste for entrepreneurship and the ambition to be a business leader since I was very young.”

What do you think are the key factors for success?

“I think the most important thing is to anticipate. Anticipation is the first vision to have. You need to be professional, listen to your clients, and understand their needs. Kindness, empathy, and respect are also essential. At the same time, it is crucial to surround yourself with qualified partners. Additionally, social media plays an important role. It is necessary to have good online visibility, managed by an expert in the field. Finally, for me, continuous training is paramount. In the real estate field, I am constantly training myself and my team. I recommend any business leader who wishes to remain competitive to train themselves. Networking and recommendations are also key elements of success.”

How do you manage the balance between your personal and professional life?

“It’s very complicated, I admit. My personal life is strongly impacted by my professional life. However, I try to explain to my daughter the importance of work while giving her the most important place in my life that she deserves. The time we spend together is precious, and we make it a quality moment. We try to participate in activities together whenever we can. Furthermore, I have built a team around me, which allows me to delegate certain tasks and free up time. However, it is difficult to balance these two aspects of my life today because my business requires a lot of time.”

She then explained to us that there are not only these two spheres and that with workdays from 8 am to 8 pm, or even 8:30 pm, finding time for everything else and her personal life is complex. However, she strives to find her balance.

What values do you wish to convey within your company?

“I convey my own values, which are also the values of Sovimo’s DNA. As a business leader, my mission is to create a pleasant work environment for my team while maintaining high standards of quality service for our clients. I add my personal touch by incorporating my sensitivity, but the DNA of Sovimo remains focused on the well-being of our team and the satisfaction of our customers.”

Do you think there is a question of seizing opportunities at the right time in the field of entrepreneurship?

“In entrepreneurship, it is crucial to seek out opportunities at the right time, so as not to be overtaken by events and to stay in tune with our clients’ demands. Every profession offers opportunities or directions to take at a given time, and it is essential to stay attentive as a business leader. This way, we can sense changes and maintain high demands on ourselves, so as not to be overtaken.”

Her inspiring journey and vision of entrepreneurship highlight the importance of anticipation, continuous training, social media, and balance between personal and professional life.
