These two festive and educational days are an opportunity for the youth of Nice to discover different artistic disciplines, meet art world professionals, and become themselves participants in the event.
On Friday, April 7 at 2:45 PM, around twenty young people aged 16 to 21, dancers, actors, musicians, and singers, will take over the museum space of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMAC) and will present a performance entitled “1 Teen, 1 Work” orchestrated by the François Stemmer Company. Two other performances for the general public will take place at 7 PM and 9 PM.
The show “1 Teen, 1 Work” was created in May 2016 at the Pompidou Center, on the occasion of “Museum Night.” “1 Teen, 1 Work” is a story between a teenager and a work of art, an encounter between a completed, fixed, installed work and a young being, under construction, in transformation. It involves dance, movement, words, sounds, singing, graffiti, rollerblading, skateboarding…. It’s a young artist in the making who meets the work of another artist and through their art, their artistic practice, moves, diverts, reinvents it…. live!
On Saturday, April 8, 2017, starting at 2 PM, “Spotlight on Youth!” continues at AnimaNice Saint Pancrace with an afternoon open to all dedicated to urban cultures: a 4 VS 4 break dance battle and Graff Jam.
