This Saturday, Nice will travel to Lens for the 26th day of Ligue 1. In their current difficult situation, Nice can no longer afford to make mistakes against a rival for European qualifications. All the pre-match information.
OGC Nice is going through a very challenging period in their season. The team is on a streak of six matches without a win across all competitions. Worse still, they’ve only recorded one win in their last eight matches. On Wednesday, Nice, dominated, logically lost (3-1) at the Parc des Princes in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France.
The Aiglons are moving into the field of a direct competitor for European spots. Lens has reclaimed 5th place and is two points ahead of 6th-placed Nice. In the first leg, the Gym won (2-0), at the Allianz Riviera, thanks to a quick brace by Terem Moffi, who came on as a substitute.
Many absentees on the Nice side
To play this match, Francesco Farioli has to deal with several absences. Valentin Rosier (hamstring injury) and Sofiane Diop (foot) are out again. Melvin Bard is also unavailable. “Melvin has an issue with his Achilles heel. A very deep cut that required stitches,” explained Francesco Farioli in a press conference.
Lastly, Marcin Bulka and Youssouf Ndayishimiye are doubtful. The Polish goalkeeper fractured his nose in contact with Pablo Rosario during the defeat against PSG. The Nice goalkeeper nevertheless finished the match on the field. He could hold his place by wearing a protective mask on Saturday. Already absent on Wednesday, Hicham Boudaoui is also doubtful.
For Lens, Franck Haise will be without Deiver Machado, who is suffering from a groin injury. Facundo Medina, however, returns from suspension.
