The legendary jazz festival in Nice is back for an all-new edition, from August 20 to 23, 2024.
On Thursday, May 16, 2024, Sébastien Vidal, Artistic Director of the Nice Jazz Fest, ended the much-awaited suspense of the jazz festival. We now know the 24 artists who will set the mood at the Jardin Albert 1er in August 2024.
For this new edition, some changes have been made: like the removal of the VIP village, which will be replaced by the Experience village. In this brand-new village, the city of Nice has set up several little surprises such as a restaurant and the Nice Jazz Comedy Club where you can watch performances by various comedians.
Unlike the VIP village, the experience village will be open several days before the start of the festivities. The city of Nice is allowing the public to choose the name of the experience village. The choice is made from five music albums which are:
- The Score by the Fugees
- Purple Rain by Prince
- Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
- Kind of Blue by Miles Davis
- What’s Going On by Marvin Gaye
Presentation of the Festival at Jardin Albert 1er
A more accessible Jazz Festival, with an increase of 2,966 additional seats compared to previous years. The entrance to the Festival will no longer be at the Masséna side but will be at the Quai des Etats-Unis entrance. The location of the village will be on the side of the Kiosque à musique.
This year’s novelty is the creation of a Kids Club “Ramène ta fraise.” It allows parents to come with their children, where several activities will be offered. You can find several snacking and refreshment stands in the heart of Jardin Albert 1er. The legendary Masséna stage is expanding! Hosting more than 9,500 visitors this year.
Each evening, ticket prices will be 45 euros. For students, children ages 6-17, and seniors, the price per night is 32 euros. You can also take advantage of a “2-Day Pass” for 80 euros or the “4-Day Pass” for 160 euros. Discover the Nice Jazz Fest lineup now!
