This Saturday, December 2, starting at 8 p.m., “the smallest of the great halls” will host a delightful menu of excerpts from the most prestigious plays!
Since its opening in March 2022, Stockfish has been buzzing. On stage, it has already welcomed over 70 nationally and internationally renowned artists during DJ Set nights, live concerts, stand-up, and theater performances. The biggest names in contemporary music or stand-up perform there under performance conditions worthy of the Zéniths, but in an intimate atmosphere. The local scene is certainly not forgotten during the “Thursdays at Stockfish” and the “Tchoup Comedy Club” evenings.
Additionally, the Azurean performance hall is actively engaged in its actions, with the concept of a solidarity bar making a splash to provide maximum support to the associative cause. From “Secours Populaire” to “Une Voix Pour Elles” and the “Ligue Contre le Cancer 06”, more than 8,000 euros have been donated by Stockfish to 12 associations.
We choose what we eat, so why not choose what we see?
The concept is innovative. Based on this question, Les Collectionneurs wanted to take advantage of the undeniable parallel between a server and their client and that of an actor and their spectator. Thus, the spectators will be seated at tables in the Stockfish hall, transformed into a cabaret-theater.
The challenge: to be able to perform in any style according to the public’s wishes, quickly changing costumes, accessories, and time periods. In a restaurant, the service must match the quality of the dishes offered. At Théâtre à la Carte, it’s the same. Thus, particular importance is given to the welcome and transitions to always immerse the spectator/client in an entertaining experience.
The inter-scene texts have been designed and developed like a show in its own right, with improvisation, numerous spoonerisms, puns, slips of the tongue, and other comic effects inspired by the universe of Raymond Devos or Stéphane de Groodt.
