Christian ESTROSI, Deputy President of the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte dโAzur Region, President of the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis, and Mayor of Nice, inaugurated the Alpes-Maritimes Regional House yesterday afternoon. Located within the City Hall itself, its aim is to bring citizens, communities, and local decision-makers closer together.
The MREG 06 comprises 26 agents distributed across six activity sectors.
One sector is dedicated to the economy, employment, career guidance, and training.
The second focuses on the environment, particularly combating food waste and pollution.
The third is related to high schools and also aims to train regional high school staff in the use of new technologies.
The fourth sector deals with European Funds and Programs. Its objective is to provide assistance and monitoring for all European programs.
The transport sector, on the other hand, is responsible for school transportation (which was transferred to the region as of September 1, 2017).
Finally, the last sector is in charge of coordination, facilitation, as well as cross-sector activities (events, meetings, or seminars).
The creation of all these sectors is intended to improve the effectiveness and clarity of the actions undertaken by the region.
Additionally, prior to this inauguration, Christian Estrosi met with the Mayors of the Alpes-Maritimes in a working meeting to present the different actions carried out by the region in recent years.
