The Villa and Gardens Ephrussi de Rothschild represent the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. Stéphane Bern announced its nomination in the program The Favorite Monument of the French.
As Baroness Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild celebrates her 160th birthday, her Villa is nominated to become “the Favorite Villa of the French.” In each edition, the show The Favorite Monument of the French promotes French heritage. All its dimensions, all its periods, and all its styles find their place. The villa and gardens are no exception to this rule. They reflect the taste of Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild, who managed to bring together the most beautiful pieces from each artist with a unique skill in assemblage in France. Her garden, shaped like a ship’s bow, is one of the most beautiful on the French Riviera.

The Villa and Gardens Ephrussi de Rothschild explain that voting for them means “voting for the work and collection of an extraordinary, free, modern, refined, and generous woman.” Thanks to the Academy of Fine Arts, the entire villa’s buildings are in the process of restoration. They welcome artists and aim to open all private parts to the public.
