The association “Gendarmes de Cœur” provides assistance to the children of gendarmerie military personnel suffering from a serious illness. To achieve this, the association presents around ten checks each year to various families to help them overcome the difficulties related to the tragedy they are facing.
This support from the club for the association “Gendarmes de Cœur” is part of the club’s civic policy under the “Childhood” section. The partnership began in 2012.
Each year, a player from OGC Nice sponsors the association and meets throughout the season with the families supported by “Gendarmes de Cœur,” as well as with the leaders and members of the association. Whenever a check presentation takes place in the Alpes-Maritimes, it is conducted in the presence of the sponsor.
The sponsors also highlight the association and its actions during their media appearances.
OGC Nice contributes to this visibility by providing a dedicated space for the association on the club’s official website and by organizing meetings between the association, the families, and the sponsoring player.
The club also hosts the entire delegation of “Gendarmes de Cœur” twice per season in the lounges of the Allianz Riviera, in the presence of the sponsoring player, during the officialization of the player’s sponsorship, and then for the launch event of the annual “Gendarmes de Cœur” magazine.
Following Fabrice Abriel, Eric Bauthéac, Valère Germain, and Paul Baysse, it is now Maxime Le Marchand who has committed to sponsoring the association.
