The Alpes-Maritimes Department, committed to fighting the spread of the Xylella fastidiosa bacterium, has decided to step up its efforts by now focusing its action on research, in order to better understand this bacterium and curb its propagation.
A seminar on Xylella fastidiosa is being organized this Monday at 2 PM in the Esterel room of the Cadam.
This seminar brings together elected officials from the affected municipalities, their technical services, and their partner companies in the field of green spaces, to ensure that everyone has access to information on combating the bacterium.
Xylella fastidiosa is a harmful bacterium affecting around 200 plant species, including many emblematic species of the Mediterranean landscape: olive trees, oleanders, vines, citrus trees… This bacterium leads to a rapid decline of the affected plant.
