This Wednesday afternoon, leaks were detected in the drinking water network in Nice. The metropolitan teams are mobilized to intervene and have set up a distribution of water bottles.
According to a statement released this Wednesday evening, October 2, leaks appeared in the middle of the afternoon. Several sectors of the drinking water network are affected in the northeast of the city.
The affected areas include the following sections:
- from 4 to 34 Boulevard Pasteur
- from 52 bis to 119 Avenue de Brancolar
- from 21 to 34 Avenue Jean Barès
- from 56 to 60 Avenue du Ray
- from 128 to 166 Avenue Saint Lambert
- Avenue Audiffret
- Avenue Flora
- 27 Avenue Edith Cavell
- 5 Avenue Bardi
The city of Nice has also announced that a distribution of water bottles will start at 8 PM in the affected areas. The distribution points include Square Doyen Lepine, Alexandre Médecin square, and 4 Boulevard Pasteur.
The teams from Régie Eau d’Azur and the Metropolis are working hard to restore the situation as quickly as possible.
