The Roca Team continues to manage its roster during this off-season period. After Mam Jaiteh, it’s Vitto Brown who is indeed leaving the Rock for other horizons. A transfer market marked by departures, although Monaco officially announced the arrival of Kevarrius Hayes a few weeks ago, as well as the return of Mike James. Exit Vitto Brown
After Mam Jaiteh, this is the second departure officially announced by the Roca Team in this off-season. The American power forward Vitto Brown leaves the Roca Team. “A big thank you Vitto, we wish you the best for your career“, the club declared on its social media.
The player is expected to sign with Besiktas Istanbul. After just one year with the principality’s club, the record is mixed for Vitto Brown. He only held a minor role in the Monaco rotation. In Betclic Elite, he participated in only twenty games out of forty-two, with an average of 7.7 points. In the Euroleague, he played twenty-three matches, but with a statistical record below the standards of other players (4.4 points on average, 2.5 rebounds). In Turkey, he is expected to bounce back within a team better suited to his style of play.
Other departures?
Among the latest rumors, the possible departure of Georgios Papagiannis should be taken with caution. Although the Greek giant (2.20 meters) is unhappy with his playing time this season, nothing has been confirmed regarding his departure. To recall, he has only averaged sixteen minutes of playing time in Betclic Elite this season. Should he leave the Rock, the center is expected to join Anadolu Efes.
New arrivals expected?
Since the end of the season, the Roca Team has only officially announced one arrival: that of Kevarrius Hayes, a former Parisian and French champion in 2025 with the capital’s club. While the Frenchman Isaïa Cordinier was at one time rumored to join the principality, this is no longer the case: the information published in the Italian media was incorrect. As of early July, Monaco is not expecting anyone in particular. A transfer market constructed thoughtfully, for now, to strengthen weakened positions.
