Auctions: Two Days of Free Appraisals in Cannes and Nice

Latest News

On October 20 and 21, NEO Enchรจres will offer the public free and non-binding appraisals of jewelry, watches, artworks, and collectibles. The event will be held at Five Seas in Cannes and the Westminster Hotel & Spa in Nice.

Wedding jewelry, watches handed down from grandparents, paintings found or inherited… Many objects lie dormant in drawers without their owners knowing their actual value. In a rapidly evolving art market and with gold prices reaching new heights, these family assets are gaining particular importance.

NEO Enchรจres addresses this need for transparency. Founded in Paris in 2023, the house relies on an approach that combines human expertise with digital tools. Its objective is clear: to make a universe often perceived as reserved for insiders accessible to the general public.

On October 20 and 21, NEO Enchรจres will travel to the Alpes-Maritimes for two days of free appraisals. On October 20, the valuations will take place in Cannes, at the Five Seas By Inwood Hotels, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The next day, the team will be in Nice, at the Westminster Hotel & Spa, at the same hours.

Participants will be able to have their jewelry, watches, sculptures, paintings, or art objects appraised by a certified auctioneer and Quentin Charraudeau, president of NEO Enchรจres. Each appraisal will be conducted in a confidential setting.

Between technology and human expertise

Founded in 2023, NEO Enchรจres has set out to modernize the world of auctions. Its approach is based on a so-called “phygital” approach, combining digital and direct contact.

Digital tools help streamline processes: object recognition by artificial intelligence, international databases, secure online sales. But the house also emphasizes human proximity. Its offices are open to the public, and regional meetings, like those in Cannes and Nice, are organized regularly.

According to the house, this complementarity between innovation and expertise guarantees high-quality support. Technological efficiency is put at the service of advice and knowledge.

In less than two years, NEO Enchรจres has already appraised 50,000 objects and organized about twenty sales per year, with a network of twenty accredited experts.

Appraisals that can offer surprises

For NEO Enchรจres, these appraisal days are not limited to numerical evaluations. They often allow for the rediscovery of the value of forgotten items. Quentin Charraudeau cites the example of a client who โ€œalmost sold a painting for about fifty euros on a classifieds website, which turned out to be worth much more after appraisal and sold for over โ‚ฌ50,000 at auction.โ€

Gwenola Bovis, an auctioneer, also recalls another encounter:
โ€œduring an appraisal day, a client presented a box containing more than thirty gold coins of which he was completely unaware of the value. Thanks to our numismatic expertise and at a time when gold prices were at their peak, we were able to organize the sale of the entire collection at an unexpected price for him (around โ‚ฌ30,000 net). This is exactly the kind of meeting that illustrates the importance of expertise: transforming forgotten assets into a real opportunity.โ€

For individuals, these appointments offer several advantages: free and open access to professional expertise, a confidential evaluation, and the possibility of a managed sale in Paris. The entrusted items benefit from transportation covered, without additional costs.

This year, the focus will be on jewelry and gold pieces, in a context where gold prices are seeing a marked increase.

An affirmed regional presence

Although the house is firmly established in Paris, it maintains a particular relationship with the Alpes-Maritimes. NEO Enchรจres is present there on average once a month for local meetings. These new appraisal days thus extend an already established presence.

They are also part of Quentin Charraudeau’s personal journey. A graduate of SKEMA Business School, he studied on the Sophia Antipolis campus and lived in Antibes. โ€œIt’s a real pleasure to return to a region that has been an important part of my journey, and to share the NEO Enchรจres adventure here today,โ€ he confides.

The leader is also behind Mr Expert, a platform for the appraisal of art objects and jewelry that has become a reference in the field. With NEO Enchรจres, he continues the same ambition: โ€œwe want to allow everyone to discover the value of their assets, in complete transparency and without constraint.โ€

Revealing the hidden value of assets

Behind every object lies a story, sometimes forgotten. Paintings, antique rings, family watches… These personal items, often underestimated, constitute a heritage to be rediscovered.

The appraisal days organized in Cannes and Nice are intended for anyone wishing to know the value of their belongings or consider a sale. NEO Enchรจres sees this as a way to democratize a service long perceived as elitist, offering a simple and non-binding first contact with the world of auctions.
