OGC Nice: Franck Haise is no longer the coach of the Gym, Puel expected to succeed him

Latest News

A year and a half after his arrival in Nice, Franck Haise is no longer the coach of OGC Nice. The coach of the Aiglons is leaving the club by mutual agreement with the red and black management. Former red and black coach Claude Puel could succeed him.

Thunderbolt on the Côte d’Azur! According to information from L’Équipe, Franck Haise would no longer be the coach of OGC Nice. The coach of the Aiglons has reportedly decided to leave his position “by mutual agreement” with the red and black management. The Frenchman could not withstand the terrible period the Gym went through at the end of the year, where the team from the Côte d’Azur suffered nine consecutive defeats in all competitions—a record in the club’s history. After a good first season, Haise’s tenure comes to an end after eighteen months in the position.

The tumultuous recent weeks continue on the OGC Nice side. Following a renewed management, with the departure of Fabrice Bocquet (replaced since by the duo Jean-Pierre Rivère and Maurice Cohen), the Gym is experiencing a change of coach. To succeed him, the name of Claude Puel is being mentioned, still according to the media L’Équipe. The former coach of ASSE and OL had already led Nice between 2012 and 2016. The former midfielder reportedly already has many supporters internally.
