The endowment fund of the Nice club has awarded four checks of 2,500 euros to local organizations. A day organized in Nice brought together associations, families, and partners around this support.
The endowment fund of OGC Nice awarded, on Wednesday afternoon, four checks of 2,500 euros to local associations committed to supporting sick children. The ceremony took place at the Pathé Lingostière cinema in Nice during a time dedicated to families and association stakeholders.
Nearly 200 people participated in this event. The gathering is part of the program “Children Without Pain“, supported by the club. Jean-Pierre Rivère, president of OGC Nice and its endowment fund, participated in this day. “Through the Endowment Fund, our ambition is clear: to be useful beyond football, the executive reminded. The Children Without Pain program and all the actions carried out with our partner associations, with the support of the club’s teams, have a concrete and measurable impact.”
Maurice Cohen, deputy vice-president, also praised the initiative: “this type of day perfectly illustrates what a club like OGC Nice should be: a committed and supportive actor […] The Endowment Fund allows us to support associations that do remarkable work, often in the shadows. It’s a great pride to see all these smiles.”
Concrete help for families
The amounts provided meet specific needs. “With these 2,500 euros, we will be able to finance my son’s psychomotor therapy”, says Stéphanie, mother of Gabyn and founder of Épikid.
The support from the fund has already enabled notable journeys. Vanessa Loria, vice-president of the association All with Hugo, speaks of a decisive clinical trial. “Affected by cancer, he was able to benefit from a clinical trial financed thanks to this support. This trial saved his life. Today, Hugo is cured. He’s 14 years old, plays football, goes to school… He’s a little boy trying just to live like all the others.”
Some organizations benefit from non-financial support. Nathalie Paoli, president of the association Le Point Rose, highlights another type of support. “Our families, who are all over the territory, are all supporters of OGC Nice. They often come from very far, sometimes from Lille or Alsace, to experience these tributes at the Allianz Riviera.”
Virginie Rossetti, involved in the program since its inception, insists on the continuity of the connection. “When associations become members of Children Without Pain, it’s for life. They know it’s an entire club that’s at their disposal. We serve them in all areas: administrative, legal, media support… Helping, accompanying every day is what we are most proud of.”
A day of meetings and exchanges
The meeting continued with a cinema session, a snack, and activities. Children, families, and partners shared this moment. Player Dante came to meet the public. “It’s a real pleasure to be here today and meet the children and families. Seeing smiles, sharing simple moments, that’s also what counts,” he said. “My presence today is also a way to thank and support these wonderful initiatives.”
Four new associations are joining the program: Petit Cœur de Beurre, L’Alpha de Victor, Épikid, and Sacha Gèn’Espoir. Each supports children with severe or rare pathologies by funding care, aid, and life projects.
Through this action, the endowment fund confirms its involvement in the social field. The club extends its action beyond the field, in connection with families facing illness.
