The Allianz Riviera is hosting the 7th edition of Escape Day in Nice this Wednesday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event brings together 800 sick or disabled children as well as their companions.

Organized by Premiers de Cordée, this Escape Day is part of a program conducted throughout the year in France. The association offers sports activities in hospitals and medico-social structures.

Escape Days allow children to step out of their usual environment. Participants discover various sports disciplines and visit places such as the National Sports Museum in Nice. Meetings with athletes like triple Olympic finalist Elodie Ravera are planned.

A 2026 Edition Under the Theme of Sports and Team Spirit

The Escape Day 2026 adopts the theme “blue-white-red, in supporter mode for the Blues!” This direction echoes a year marked by several international competitions. The children present are invited to cheer on French athletes.

About twenty sports disciplines will be offered at the Allianz Riviera. Dance, squash, table tennis, climbing, and football make up the program. Each activity aims to encourage practice and exchanges.

The Escape Day will also take place in other cities in France. The schedule includes stops in Le Mans on May 6, in Bordeaux on May 27, and in Rouen on June 10.
