And while the spotlight was on world stars, it was a Nice-based structure, Asura, that managed to stand out thanks to the feat of its star player: Mezcaul, a Ridley specialist and currently 8th French player.

Although Mezcaul is not from the region, his association with Asura, a pillar of Nice esports, allowed the local scene to shine on a continental scale. Thanks to an exceptional performance, he finished 3rd in the tournament, just behind crêpesalé (French number 1) and Spargo (world number 1), establishing himself as a serious contender for the highest titles.

Exceptional victories

His run was marked by impressive victories: Oryon, Glutonny (European #1), Luuggi (English #1), and Zemmol, who had distinguished himself by defeating Sisqui, the current Spanish number 1. This latter exploit had allowed Zemmol to face Mezcaul in the finals, in a duel dominated by the Asura player.

Only Spargo and crêpesalé managed to stop him, confirming that Mezcaul is now competing at the highest world level.
