The Cannes Pyrotechnic Art Festival will return from July 4 to August 24, 2026. Six shows are scheduled in the bay, with five countries competing for the Golden Vestal and a closing evening outside the competition.

The sky of Cannes will light up again this summer with the return of the 2026 Pyrotechnic Art Festival. Organized by the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès since 1967, the event will bring together six international companies between July 4 and August 24.

The shows will take place at 10 p.m. along 500 meters of waterfront. An exception is planned for July 14. As part of a tribute marking the tenth anniversary of the Nice attack, the fireworks will begin at 11 p.m.

Each company will present an original creation of at least twenty minutes. The performances will be evaluated according to several criteria, including musical coherence, aesthetic quality, and technical mastery.

Five nations competing for the Golden Vestal

The competition will begin on July 4 with the Serbian company Pyro-Team D.O.O. Poland will take over on July 14 with Nakaja Art, before China Galaxy Pyrotechnics Co., LTD participates for China on July 22.

The second part of the festival will open on August 4 with the French company Aquareve. Finland will be represented on August 15 by Joho Pyro Professional Fireworks AB. The closing event, scheduled for August 24, will be ensured outside the competition by FLASH BARRANDOV Speciální Efekty, s.r.o., from the Czech Republic.

The Golden Vestal, the Jury Prize, and the Public Prize will reward the creations presented during the summer. The jury will include journalist Laurie Canac, Caroline Delattre, promotion director of Cannes Radio, singer-songwriter François Feldman, Sébastien Grotus, manager of CHR and event sales at Carlsberg, as well as producer Valery Zeitoun.

The Public Prize will be awarded following an online vote open for one week after each show. The winner’s name will be revealed at the closing evening.

The Cannes Pyrotechnic Art Festival will also continue the measures put in place to limit the environmental impact of the fireworks. After each performance, a collection of floating debris will be carried out at sea before a second intervention conducted the next day by divers.

As each year, strict safety conditions will oversee the shows. A postponement may be decided in case of wind exceeding 20 km/h, swell exceeding one meter, or unfavorable weather conditions.
