The International Association for the Dissemination of Contemporary Art (A.I.D.A.C.) encourages the interaction between artistic disciplines and aims to become a nursery for emerging artists.
AIDAC aims to support and promote both nationally and internationally young contemporary artists from the P.A.C.A region and assists them in gaining exposure in the Alpes Maritimes (Nice, Cannes, Antibes, etc.) and Monaco. The association also provides opportunities for international artists to exhibit on the French Riviera.
AIDAC selects artists based on proposals that are innovative and involve taking risks, regardless of their mode of artistic expression. However, particular attention is given to works that incorporate new technologies and new media (digital art, video art, installations, etc.).
AIDAC acts as an intermediary between artists and cultural stakeholders in the contemporary art sector: institutions, museums, foundations, galleries, cultural press, collectors, art schools. Thus, artists are assured of promotion within both the public and private sectors, supported through direct contact with these various entities, and assisted in developing an artistic and cultural concept.
AIDAC positions itself as a privileged interlocutor with local authorities (region, department, and municipalities) for obtaining public commissions and enhances its efforts to enable artists to sell their works.
Through mediation actions, AIDAC proposes a different engagement with artworks than that traditionally offered by cultural structures. The goal is to create a high-quality dialogue between audiences and art, through a sensitive approach to the artwork. These special encounters will be crafted based on institutional and territorial issues, invited audiences, and of course, the artworks presented.
AIDAC organizes artistic events during which visual arts can intersect with performing arts: music, contemporary dance, designer shows, performances… These events will take place in original venues.
AIDAC offers to be an intermediary in the sale of artworks to encourage and enable the recognition of creators from the PACA region and to invigorate the contemporary art market. For this, the association works on prospecting art enthusiasts and private companies, and the creation of original meetings, which should ensure the sale of the artworks.
