The Raggamuffin Festival will make its debut in Nice on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. The Théâtre de Verdure will host an evening dedicated to reggae, dub and hip-hop featuring L’Entourloop, Marcus Gad, Vanupié and Cozik & Faya Pyd. Concerts will begin at 7 p.m. after doors open at 6 p.m.
The Raggamuffin Festival will be held for the first time at the Théâtre de Verdure in Nice on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the first concert will begin at 7 p.m. The four artists will take the stage in the announced order: Cozik & Faya Pyd, Vanupié, Marcus Gad and then L’Entourloop to close the evening.
The duo Cozik & Faya Pyd will open the festival. The two artists embody a new generation of francophone reggae, blending hip-hop influences, socially conscious lyrics and contemporary productions. Originally from Brittany, Cozik became known through distinctive songwriting and impressive stage performances. Alongside him, Parisian Faya Pyd handles musical production and artistic direction of the project. After the EPs 3 millions d’amis and Âme Sauvage, released between 2024 and 2025, the duo will present on stage a universe where modern reggae and conscious songwriting meet.
The evening will continue with Vanupié. A singer and guitarist, the artist became established through the hit Rockadown and his famous Rockadown Subway Session, which has accumulated over 116 million views on YouTube. The third album Dreamtime, unveiled in 2023, explores pop, soul and reggae influences with several collaborations. Vanupié will also present his latest single, Naâman, after several years performing both in France and internationally.
Originally from New Caledonia, Marcus Gad will then take over with roots reggae infused with Kanak, soul, tribal and oriental influences. The artist creates socially conscious music, nourished by spiritual and humanist themes. After the albums Chanting and then Ready for Battle, Marcus Gad has also developed a more electronic and urban project with producer TAMAL. In 2024, the single La Vérité surpassed two million views on YouTube before a tour marked by several European festivals. A new album is expected in 2026 and will be at the heart of this summer tour.
The closing will be taken over by L’Entourloop. The collective brings together the characters of King James and Sir Johnny around a blend of hip-hop, reggae, dub and sound system culture. Scratches, beatmaking, sampling and brass compose a musical identity inspired by Kingston, London and New York alike. For this Nice date, three MCs will join the group: Flavia Coelho, Troy Berkley and Blabbermouf. After more than 500 concerts around the world and performances at venues such as the Olympia, Adidas Arena and the Zénith in Saint-Étienne, L’Entourloop will present a new show built around their latest productions.
Activities and local producers on the program
The festival will remain free for children under 12. Young people will also be able to use the Culture Pass.
Sweet and savory food service will be offered on site with payment by bank card or cash. Several stands will complete the evening.
The Jardins de Benoît et Léa, an organic farm located in the Mercantour, will notably present local production of hemp and CBD flowers. GEDAR will also be present to showcase its actions in favor of mountain agriculture in the Nice hinterland, with several projects around food, regenerative hydrology and local agricultural sectors.
