A first district of Nice at the center of all attentions

Latest News

The week was certainly too short for the two candidates who spared no effort to convince the voters and non-voters in the canton to cast their vote for them this Sunday. Marc Concas seems to be in a favorable position due to the transfer of votes from some eliminated candidates and Alain Roullier’s call to not vote for Ciotti, but we will certainly have to wait for the last ballot box to be counted to know the final result of this very uncertain election.

As uncertain as the election of its big sister, the municipal one, which will see the heads of the list of each of these two running mates and architects of the campaign, “Nice Ensemble” for Eric Ciotti and “Changing Era” for Marc Concas, face off in a different setup from a triangular to a duel. It’s a very important election for the Nice left, which sees in Marc Concas the hope of keeping a canton in the opposition, should the other PS candidate competing in the second canton, Yann Libratti, fail to beat Jean Icart.

The teams and their leaders will therefore be on deck from the old city’s first canton to the port from morning to night. Marc Concas and his deputy Joëlle Peglion are organizing, tonight, a meeting at the Wagram bar starting at 6 PM, and a festive street parade will take place on Saturday, starting at 2 PM at the Palais Square, while Eric Ciotti will hold a cantonal meeting at the port school with his deputy Andrée Alziari Nègre.

The final stretch then, for the two competitors for the seat of general councilor.
