The reduction in the income tax scale was voted into the 2020 finance law to benefit nearly 17 million tax households.
Thanks to the reform of the withholding tax, this reduction is applicable as early as January, whereas it wouldn’t have been until 2021 with the old system.
The average gain from this reduction amounts to €297 for 334,000 households out of the 361,000 taxable households in the Alpes-Maritimes department.
