Latest News

Yesterday morning, the Prefect of Alpes-Maritimes Bernard Gonzales, the Mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi, and the Director General of the National Agency for Urban Renewal signed the commitment declaration for the New Urban Renewal Program (NPRU) in Nice.

Present was Senator Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, president of the housing commission, in charge of this file, who managed all of the renovation activity and whose expertise is unanimously recognized.

Nearly 490 million euros have been committed in recent years by the State, the ANRU, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, the City of Nice, and its partners for the urban and social reconquest of the most vulnerable territories. The urban revitalization programs undertaken in Les Moulins, Ariane, and downtown allow the residents of these neighborhoods to enjoy a pleasant environment and improved quality of life every day.

Since the signing of the prefiguration protocol of the New Urban Renewal Program on December 1, 2017, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis has conducted numerous studies, thus allowing the definition of future projects, in co-construction with the residents.

With the support of the ANRU, State services, and social landlords – notably Côte d’Azur Habitat – all efforts will be concentrated on the Liserons neighborhood and the continuation of the transformation of Les Moulins and Ariane.

The NPRU covers the period 2020-2025 and represents an investment of 347.4 million euros to renovate or continue work in 3 neighborhoods: The Liserons neighborhood, Ariane, and Les Moulins.
